Who I Am

I am Mark Agan

I am a husband, father, grandfather, and pastor. Most importantly, I am a child of the King of kings.

Born the youngest son of Champ & Dianne Agan, my dad pastored most of my life. The Lord called me to preach when I was fourteen years old, and ever since then, I have counted it a privilege to stand and preach God’s Word.

I married the love of my life, Beth, in the winter of 1989. Not only has she been a great wife to me, a great mother to our two sons, and a wonderful grandmother, but she has also been my right arm in the ministry through the years.

I began pastoring in Georgia in 1997 and planted a church in Florida in 2000. In 2008, we moved to Siler City, North Carolina where I have pastored Community Baptist Church, one of the greatest churches around! In December of 2016, I became the Chaplain of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, which has given me an even greater opportunity to reach people in our community.

So, who am I? I am a man who has been blessed beyond measure! I am a man who has everything he needs and more than he deserves. But above all, I am a man who has the assurance that when I die, I will spend eternity with the Lord because I have put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ as my Savior.

I Preach the Word

I have grown up in the ministry my whole life. That set the stage for God to call me to preach when I was 14 years old, and I have continued ever since. I now pastor the Community Baptist Church in Siler City, North Carolina.

I Write Books

I began writing when our church needed custom tracts for specific purposes, so I began writing and designing gospel tracts. Since then, I have written several books that aim to help those facing specific challenges in life.

I Play Music

I grew up with traditional Southern Gospel Music by such groups as The Cathedral Quartet, Greater Vision, and The Kingsmen Quartet. As a pianist, Anthony Burger was an inspiration and influence on me.
