How to Have Peace in Perilous Times – (Part 3)

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come…” (2 Tim. 3:1)

We are living in troubling times. The Bible says that in the last days “perilous” (or dangerous) times would come. The Bible tells us how to have peace no matter how difficult our circumstances may become.

So far we’ve seen that:
Peace comes from PRAYING right. (Phil. 4:6-7)
Peace comes from THINKING right. (Phil. 4:8)

LASTLY—Peace comes from LIVING right.

(Phil. 4:9) says, “Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” You can’t live sinfully and expect to have the peace of God in your life.

True peace and happiness does not come from living after the things of this world; they come from walking with Jesus and obeying His Word. In fact, Jesus told His disciples this very thing when He said to them, “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them” (John 13:17).

A lot of people go to church and hear the Word of God preached. In other words, they “know these things,” Jesus said. But peace and happiness doesn’t come from just KNOWING what the Bible says. Peace and happiness comes from DOING what the Bible says. Jesus said, “happy are ye if ye DO them.”

So, if you are lacking peace, this morning, start praying right, thinking right, and living right….THEN you can have peace in perilous times.
