“But” (Insert YOUR name)

“BUT” (Insert YOUR name).

In Acts 5, everything was going great in the early church. God was moving in a mighty way. God’s power was evident in:
(4:8) The Preacher who was Preaching
(4:14) The People who were Praising
(4:31) The Prayers that were Prayed
(4:34) The Plates that were Passed

Yes, everything was going GREAT! And then you come to ch.5, verse one and it says, “But…” Uh oh!

Someone said, the “buts” of the Bible are the hinges upon which great doors swing. They always mark a change in the story.

God was blessing “But there was a man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife…” These two were living a lie. Satan could not CONQUER the church from without, so he tried to use these two to CORRUPT it from within!

Here’s my question this morning… could God put YOUR name there? Could it be said that God wants to bless your family, your marriage, your church… “BUT (insert your name)” God can’t because of YOU!

Don’t be the weak link in the chain in your home or in your church. Determine today to not let satan use YOU to be the cause of withholding His blessings.
