3 Ways To Handle Your Troubles

Let’s face it, we all face times of trouble and temptation. What can we do when it comes?

First—FLEE It.

The first thing we should do when trouble comes is to get away from it if possible. Even David said, “O LORD…I flee unto thee to hide me” (Ps.143:9). Paul told Timothy to Flee also youthful lusts” (2 Tim. 2:11). If you know an area of weakness in your life, then flee that area. Paul said, “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof” (Rom. 13:14) But what if you can’t flee it? Then…

Second—FACE It.

David said the LORD is our “strength in the time of trouble” (Ps. 37:39). He gives us the strength to face the trouble from which we cannot flee. But He does expect us to do OUR part first. He didn’t kill Goliath for David. He expected David to show up and do his part first. David had to SHOW up, then LOAD up (with 5 smooth stones). If we will do what we CAN do, God will then do what we CANNOT do.

Third—FAITH It.

When you have faced it and it seems like it is too overwhelming to deal with, you will then have to “faith it.” David showed up to fight Goliath, but Goliath will still bigger and stronger than David was. That is when David had to “faith it” and trust God to do what only God could do.

Are you facing overwhelming circumstances today? Does it seem like trouble has found you and you can’t FLEE it? Then ask God for the strength to FACE it and then leave the results to Him by FAITH.
