“And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” (Eph. 6:4)
Everyone has seen that spoiled brat running around the store, whining and throwing a temper tantrum until his parent gives in and buys him what he wants. Here are 8 ways to ensure that YOUR child also grows up to be a spoiled brat.
1. NEVER LET THEM CRY
Your goal as a parent is to ensure your child is always happy. As soon as they begin to cry, you must do what is necessary to make them happy again. Because, after all, the world revolves around your child.
2. NEVER TELL THEM “NO”
Telling your child “No” might stunt the growth of their personality and make them feel bad. So, no matter what your child wants to do, never tell them “No.” When they whine for another toy in the store, give it to them immediately to pacify them.
3. NEVER DISCIPLINE THEM
To spank a child is considered by many to be “cruel and unusual punishment.” You never want your child to feel there are consequences to their behavior. And if an authority figure tries to punish your precious little “angel,” ALWAYS side with your child. Remember, it is never their fault.
4. NEVER GIVE THEM RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities help to raise a well-behaved, responsible child. Expecting your child to do chores around the house is no way to raise a spoiled brat. Therefore, let them sit around watching TV or playing their video games while YOU clean up after them.
5. GIVE THEM EVERYTHING THEY WANT
Never make your child work for anything. Let them grow up believing that life is FREE and that whatever fleshly appetite they have, they should satisfy their desires immediately.
6. YELL AT YOUR CHILDREN WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY
This will teach your child that yelling is how we communicate with others. They should also learn how to throw a good ole temper tantrum, too. This will make them be very popular with others when they grow up.
7. NEVER SET ANY BOUNDARIES
Rules are for others. Spoiled brats don’t need rules or boundaries. Let your child stay up as late as they want. Let them come and go as they please. This will ensure they become spoiled very quickly.
8. DON’T CARE WHO THEIR FRIENDS ARE
If anything bad ever happens it was not YOUR child that was involved; it was those “other” kids. Your child would never do anything wrong, therefore, it doesn’t matter who they hang out with or where they go.
Brats are produced, not born. Parent, if you obey these 8 things, you better prepare yourself for a lifetime of heartache and heartbreak because you WILL be raising a spoiled brat.
