“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” (Matt. 12:30)
Everyone can be put into one of two categories; we are either WITH Jesus, or AGAINST Jesus. We are either GATHERING for Jesus, or we are SCATTERING from Jesus.
What many do not realize is that the greatest harm to Christianity doesn’t come from the atheists, it comes from lukewarm believers. How? Because a lukewarm believer isn’t really living FOR the Lord, that’s why they’re lukewarm.
And because they aren’t actively living FOR Jesus, He says their lives actually begin to work AGAINST Him. A lukewarm believer lives and acts like the world does, which goes against the very message of the gospel that says Christ came to save us from the very sin in which they are living!
Next, He says, “he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” How?
►In our WORSHIP: Are you gathering with Him and His people at church faithfully? Does your daily life draw (or gather) others to Jesus?
►In our WITNESS: Are you faithfully living and giving the gospel to others?
If not, then we are not gathering people TO Jesus; we are actually scattering people FROM Jesus. So, which are you doing today? Gathering or scattering?
