“He who looks up to God in prayer will always find He looks down to provide for the need which prompts the prayer.” – F.E. Marsh
Another great purpose of prayer is for God to provide that which we have need of. Now, you may not always know what your spouse needs or what your children need unless they tell you. But with God that is not the case. In fact, the Bible says, “..your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him” (Matt. 6:8).
When a need arises in our lives, we may question God. But God often allows us to have needs so that we will come to Him in prayer asking for that very thing. If we had need of nothing, we might never pray.
