“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” (Luke 11:2)
Robert Law said, “Prayer is a mighty instrument, not for getting man’s will done in heaven, but for getting God’s will done on earth.”
We do not have to get God to do His will in Heaven; Heaven always does the will of the Father. But we MUST seek to do His will on earth. We must seek to do His will in our home. We must seek to do His will where we work. And we certainly must seek to do His will at church.
How many times have we been prompted by the Holy Spirit to speak up during testimony time and share how good God has been to us or share some prayer He has answered for us, but we remained quiet…we did NOT do His will. How many times have we been prompted by the Holy Spirit to go pray at the altar, or go pray with someone else and we did not obey?
