How are You Going to Make It?

(Ps. 15:1) “LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?”

Sometimes trials come into our lives like a tidal wave and overwhelm us. Satan throws everything he can at us to keep us from abiding and living with the presence of God in our lives.

But the good news is… he doesn’t get to make that decision. The psalmist tells us how we can make it through the attacks of Satan.

First, he says in (v.2), “He that walketh uprightly…” The only way you are going to make it through your storm is by not quitting; not giving up. Stay in church. Stay on your knees in prayer. Keep on walking right!

Secondly he says, “He that… worketh righteousness.” When trials come, we tend to get bitter and lash out at those who are attacking us in hopes of getting revenge. But if you are going to make it with God’s blessing, you must make sure you continue working righteousness.

God will not judge you by how they treated you, but by how you RESPONDED to how they treated you.

Lastly, he says, “He that… speaketh the truth in his heart.” Don’t listen to Satan’s lies about you, that your situation is hopeless. As long as there is a God, there is hope! But you will have to constantly remind yourself of God’s TRUTH instead of Satan’s LIES.

God’s source of truth is His Word. If you will stay in God’s Word and speak His truth in your heart, you will make it with the peace of God that passes all understanding!
