When God Knocks You In The Noggin!

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1Pet. 5:7)

At eleven years old, Margaret Stringer was saved and at twelve years old she surrendered to be a missionary. People thought that since she had made the decision to be a missionary at such a young age she would grow out of it. But she didn’t. She used to cry herself to sleep begging God to let her be a missionary and go to the most primitive people in the world!

Well, she did become a missionary and God led her to Indonesia. While still new to the field, which of course was an adjustment, she was pretty low. A number of trying things had happened, one of them being a big storm that had blown through the glassless windows and ruined about 95% of her work of language analysis. One night, after she went to bed, she was feeling discouraged. All of a sudden something fell off the wall and hit her on the head.

That was the last straw. She said she “fussed” in her spirit at God, saying things like, “I thought you loved me! I thought you promised to take care of me!” She got a light to see what had fallen, and it was a plaque that said…”He cares for you.” That’s one way to get the message!

Don’t make God knock you in the noggin in order to remind you He still cares for you. He loves you more than could ever know. Thank Him this morning for His care for you!
