“..the devil…abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44)
Satan will not tell us the truth. He lies to us so that he can discourage us and tempt us to sin. Yesterday, I gave you the first three lies Satan wants you to believe. Here are the last three lies.
LIE #4: IT’S TOO DIFFICULT TO LIVE FOR GOD IN OUR DAY
Don’t tell Enoch that. He lived for God in one of the most wicked days there ever was. Yet, he took a stand for God in his day. He made an impact in the evil world back then and we can make an impact for God in the evil world in which we live, too!
Sure, it may be difficult to live for God, today, but it is not impossible through the power of the Holy Spirit.
LIE #5: YOUR SITUATION IS HOPELESS
Your circumstances may look dark and you may not currently see a way out. But as long as there is a God in Heaven, THERE IS HOPE!
Paul said, “We are troubled on every side,yet not distressed; we are perplexed,but not in despair; Persecuted,but not forsaken; cast down,but not destroyed;” (2Cor. 4:8-9). In Paul’s mind, there was always hope. That is why he also said in Romans 15:13, “Now the God ofhopefill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound inhope…”
LIE #6: THERE IS NO JUDGMENT OR HELL
This is the most dangerous lie of all. If he can get you to believe that there is no Judgment, then how you live really won’t matter; whether or not you receive Jesus will not matter.
The TRUTH is, there IS a Judgment. In fact, there are two: The Judgment Seat Of Christ (where all believers are judged), and The Great White Throne Judgment (where all unbelievers are judged).
There IS a Judgment and there IS a Hell for all who reject Jesus Christ. Don’t believe this lie and die in your sin.
