Day #17 – (30 Days of Prayer)

“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14)

E.M. Bounds said, “Prayer governs conduct, and conduct makes character.  Conduct is what we do; character is what we are.  Conduct is the outward life; character is the hidden life which is evidenced by our conduct. The more we pray, the better we are and the purer and better our lives become.”

According to our text verse above, Jesus died for us, not only to “redeem us from all iniquity,” but also in order to “purify unto himself a peculiar people…” Christians are peculiar people to the world. The world doesn’t understand what drives our conduct as Christians and why we do not want to do the things they do.

Is your conduct just like the worlds? Or do they see something different in you?
