“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)
John Bunyan said, “Prayer will make a man cease from sin, or sin will entice a man to cease from prayer. The spirit of prayer is more precious than treasures of gold and silver. Pray often, for prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan.”
Satan hates nothing more than prayer and fights no one more than praying believers. Are you a believer? If so, what do you believe? Do you believe God hears and answers prayer? Then you must pray in order to be heard. You must pray in order to have that which you are praying for, given in answer to your prayer.
