It’s Coming After You!

“Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.” (Prov. 13:21)

This verse teaches us a biblical principle that is true for everyone, no matter who you are. That principle is you will reap what you sow!

First, it says, “Evil pursueth sinners.”

People who live wicked lifestyles cannot escape problems. In other words, because of the company they keep and the places they frequent, they always seem to find themselves caught up in trouble. Trouble follows them. Why? Because “Evil pursueth sinners.”

Next, it says, “but to the righteous good shall be repayed.”

The law of sowing and reaping continually takes effect in people’s lives. Sinful people sow to their flesh, so they reap corruption. On the other hand, the Bible says that when righteous people sow godliness, they are rewarded by the good that God brings about in their lives. What an incentive to do good and live right!

How you live does have an impact on which you receive in life, evil or good. Why? Because if you choose wickedness, that is what will follow you. But if you choose godliness, that is what will follow you in your life. When you think about it…the choice is pretty clear.
