Remove From Your Place

“When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God…then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.” (Josh. 3:3)

The Ark of the Covenant represented the presence and power of God. As the priests carried the Ark, the Children of Israel were told to follow wherever it went. When they saw the Ark of the Covenant move, Joshua said, “then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.”

They would never have experienced God’s miraculous protection and direction in their lives had they not been willing to remove from their place and follow where God was leading them.

For some people, it has been a long time since they have seen God move in their lives. It has been a while since they have gotten specific direction from God. Why? Because they are afraid to “remove from [their] place.” They like where they are at.

Many Christians have become way too comfortable where they are. They are so complacent that their favorite song has become, “I shall not be moved”!

The trouble with that is that growth requires change. If we are not willing to change, if we are not willing to let go of what we are holding on to, we will never be free to grab hold of what God has waiting for us.

Don’t let your COMFORT ZONE become a DEATH TRAP! God has something wonderful in store for you, but first, you must be willing to “remove from your place.”
