“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:12)
It was a cold, snowy day and a group of Christians were outside an abortion clinic in the sleet/rain mixture hoping to persuade women to keep their babies. The group had been outside for three long, bone-chilling hours.
Just when they were deciding whether or not to leave, one of the volunteers stopped a car coming to the clinic. She talked with them a long time. The Uber driver was surprised he had driven the woman to an abortion clinic. She had not told him that her destination would bring about the death of her unborn child.
The woman got out of the car and walked into the abortion center. The Uber driver, who was a Christian, knew abortion was wrong and was almost in tears over having brought her to this place. He said he had even offered her $500 if only she would not abort, but she had refused.
A volunteer said to him, “Maybe if you go back into the clinic and fight for that baby, you could save a life.”
Satan was at work and there wasn’t much time left.
All of the sudden, he got out of his car, and boldly went into the abortion center. The volunteers were cold, wet, and freezing, but that didn’t matter because a life was at stake!
A few moments later, the Uber driver emerged, his arm entwined in the woman’s arm and they both were smiling!
The Uber driver was an ordinary man, earning his livelihood as best he could, completely unaware as he started his route that God would call Him to stop everything, walk into a stronghold of Satan, and rescue two lives headed for destruction. Because he heeded the call, a baby was saved from death, and a young lady was saved from the lifelong repercussions of a choice to destroy her own child.
God may ask YOU to fight Satan for someone today. Will you be ready?
