What is He Doing?

“Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.” (Ps. 66:16)

We live in a busy world, and one of the busiest seasons (Christmas) is already upon us. The busier we get, the more imperative it is that we spend time with God. You will likely be around your family during this time. Many may not be saved. You will only be the right testimony to them that you should be IF you have been spending time with the LORD.

FIRST–The Psalmist says God had done something for his “soul.” If someone were to ask you, “What has God done in your heart, lately” what would you say? Too often we are guilty of asking God to do something for us in our finances, or some other area of our lives. But how often do we ask Him to do something for our “soul?”

Your children, your marriage, your family, and even your co-workers will reap the benefit when God has been working in your soul.

SECOND–He says that he will “declare” what God had done in his soul. Let others hear about what God is doing in your life. God can use that to cause them to examine their own soul and to wonder what God might be able to do in their own life. The more joy and peace they see in YOUR life, the more they will notice they are lacking in theirs.

Let’s ask God to work IN us, today, so that He might work THROUGH us and reach others because of what He has done in our soul.
