The Bible says there are only two families in this world. You are either a child of God or a child of the devil. Some religions teach that we are ALL God’s children, but that is not scriptural. We are all God’s CREATION, but we are not all God’s CHILDREN.
Only those who have been born again are God’s children. In fact, Jesus said to the religious rulers of His day, “Ye are of your father the devil…” (John 8:44).
So what is it that distinguishes a child of God from a child of the devil? Two things.
John said, “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother” (1John 1:10).
Johns says that LIVING RIGHT (doing righteousness) and LOVING RIGHT (God’s love) is what separates the children of God from the children of the devil. In other words, if you are a child of God, it should show on the outside. People ought to be able to tell by the way you LIVE and the way you LOVE that you are a child of God.
So, let me ask you, “Who’s your daddy? Jesus or the devil?”
