Don’t go too far!

Exod 8:25 “And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.”

God had commanded Moses to lead His children OUT of Egypt (a type of the world) to worship Him. Pharaoh finally said, “Ok, you can worship your God, just do it IN THE LAND.” In other words, don’t leave Egypt; stay in the world and worship God.

The world says the same thing to us, today. “Go ahead and be a Christian if you want. Worship your God, but do it IN THE LAND. Go…just don’t go TOO FAR! Be a Christian, just don’t be the narrow-minded kind that lives different than this world.”

What Pharaoh failed to understand is that you can’t truly worship God while living like the world. You can’t serve the SPIRIT and the FLESH at the same time! You can’t please this world AND please God.

James said: “..know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God” (James 4:4).

Many say, “You have to live like the world to reach the world,” but the Bible says, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord…” (2 Cor. 6:17).

Today you have a choice: try to live for God “IN THE LAND,” within the boundaries that the false god of political correctness has set up, OR say, “I’m following God ALL THE WAY. Wherever He leads, I will follow!”
