He Brought Us OUT to Bring Us IN

“And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.” (Deut. 6:22-23)

For years, the Children of Israel had been enslaved by Pharaoh in the land of Egypt. But, one day, God sent Moses to deliver them out of bondage. The Bible says that God brought them OUT, that He might bring them IN. And God wants to do the same with us, too!

FIRST—God Wants To Bring You FROM Something.

In the Bible, Egypt is a type of the world. God never intended for His people to make Egypt their permanent dwelling place. He didn’t want them serving Pharaoh; He wanted them to serve Him. Aren’t you thankful for the day when God delivered you from your bondage to Satan? Aren’t you thankful you no longer have to serve him, but you can serve a God who loves and cares for you?

SECOND—God Wants To Bring You TO Something.

God’s plan for Israel was more than just getting them out of Egypt. He didn’t want to just deliver them from Pharaoh, only to have them homeless afterwards. No, the Bible says He brought them OUT of one place in order to bring them INTO another place. He brought them out of the land of PHARAOH in order to bring them into the land of PROMISE. He wanted to bring them out of a land of BONDAGE in order to bring them into a land of BLESSINGS!

Canaan (the Promised Land) represents the victorious Christian life. It is God’s desire that we leave the world in order to live in victory. But there’s a catch! Before we can enter into the land of blessing, we must be willing to leave the land of bondage. In other words, we must be willing to LET GO of something before we can TAKE HOLD of something better.

If you are still holding on to the things of this world, let go! Let God bring you OUT, so that He can bring you INTO life of victory, today!
