“Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” (John 4:29)
I always enjoyed “Show and Tell” when I was in school. You never knew what object a classmate would bring to school to tell about.
John, chapter 4, tells of a woman that Jesus met at Jacob’s well. It didn’t take very long after their encounter for her to realize Jesus wasn’t an ordinary man. He told her things about her past that a stranger wouldn’t have known. In fact, the things He said about her were so amazing that she said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.”
Jesus finally told her that He was more than a prophet; He was the Messiah. She was so excited about her encounter with Jesus that she ran into the city saying to everyone she met, “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” (v.29)
You may not have a lot of talent. You may not feel you have a lot of ability, but you know what you CAN do? You can “Show and Tell” people about Jesus! It didn’t require any talent for this woman to tell others about Jesus. She had not been to Bible college; she hadn’t learned a lot of deep Bible theology. She only knew that she had met the Messiah and wanted everyone she knew to meet Him, too!
You may not still be in school, but don’t miss an opportunity to “Show and Tell” others about Jesus, today!
