As I was studying for my series on Revelation, I came across something that really blessed me.
In Rev. 20:1, John saw an angel coming down with the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And verses 2-3 says,
2) And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3) And cast him into the bottomless pit, and SHUT HIM UP…”
Well glory!!! I’m so tired of all the lies Satan tells me and all the words of fear, anger, discontentment, jealousy, and pride he puts in my ear to constantly try to defeat and discourage me.
I’m glad that one of these days someone is finally going to SHUT HIM UP!
But until that day… don’t let him fill your ear with his words. Don’t give him the time of day. Instead, listen to the Holy Spirit and what He has to say to you through the precious promises of God!
